Local Summer Meal Program


Families, if you are concerned about your child(ren)'s meals this summer, read on:

Meals are FREE to children and teens ages 18 and younger who come to a summer meals site.  Food served is healthy and follows USDA nutrition guidelines.  Summer meal siets are at fun, safe places for kids and teens. No registration or signup is required.   You can just bring your child to a site in your community during the times advertised. 

Summer meals will be offered at: 
  • Boothbay Region YMCA
  • Central Lincoln County YMCA
  • Great Salt Bay School
  • Hidden Valley Nature Center
  • Jefferson Village School
  • Miller School, Waldoboro
  • Skidompha Library
  • Warren Elementary School
  • Wiscasset Recreation Center

PREPARING FOR SUMMER: INVITATION to sign up for ECUMENICAL FOOD PANTRY

WHO? Any parent/guardian whose child is in Head Start or whose child is eligible for free or subsidized meals at school

WHERE? Second Congregational Church, 57 Main Street, Newcastle

WHEN?  Any Tuesday between 9:30 am and 11 am; or call Mike at 563-5597 or Linda at 529-6965 to set up another time to sign up. This program is year-round.

WHY? Ability to add to your food supplies. You can pick someone to get food for your family on Tuesdays if you are unable to be there. Larger families can get additional food supplies. Information is entirely PRIVATE.

SUPPORTERS:  Ecumenical Food Pantry is supported by local churches, farms, grocers, individuals, nonprofits and service organizations, as well as by the Good Shepherd Food Bank.

Midcoast United Soccer Club--Fall

Midcoast United Soccer Club seeks fall youth soccer players!
We are happy to announce our dates for Fall Youth Travel Soccer Tryouts
Tuesday June 13
5:00 Registration/5:30 Tryouts and
Thursday June 15 5:30-7:00 Tryouts
Located at the Nobleboro Central School field
These tryouts are for players age 8 by August 1st, and up
Midcoast United is a volunteer organization committed to bringing instruction and encouragement to youth soccer players in the Midcoast Region.  We play in SoccerMaine's Fall Classic League while upholding the rules and regulations of this organization.  We hold practices locally, twice a week through the season.
